ONE RUN

I needed help to develop a strategy for an ambitious global fundraising project. With Nina’s brand and business development workshop I was able to bring together curious minds from different industries to co-define the concept and brand strategy for a ‘world relay’. A relay that would unite the world through being active! Nina facilitated an energizing range of exercises that enabled us to understand the wider context, define a clear vision, audiences, make decisions, and get creative! With Nina’s help early on, we created the foundations of the strategy and brand concept for what has recently become One Run.

THE MOOD PROJECT

​In Spain, we have a nice saying, in the blacksmith's house, wooden spoon.

 

This is what was happening to us as a branding consultancy. We were struggling to identify our own essence and convey it in the right way, mainly due to a lack of internal priority as well as an external fresh point of view. So, we decided to collaborate with Nina on our own brand strategy project and website conceptualisation.

 

Nina guided the process and workshops in a really nice and professional way. We felt really comfortable, enjoyed the journey, and, yes, we obtained the result we were looking for. Expectations more than fulfilled. I really recommend Nina as a brand consultant and project manager.

DESIGN ACTIVITY

​ I have always felt that my knowledge of the business and my role in the company meant that I should spend a lot of time on new business development to ensure a continuous stream of pipeline opportunity. But being time poor with many other distractions, I realised that I needed outside help to bring both fresh perspective and the time needed to get things done.                

         

This is why we hired Nina. An independent, objective mind with time dedicated to shaping and achieving business goals, as well as taking a look at our brand and communications strategy. With her objectivity and knowledge of working client and agency side, Nina was able to work closely with the team to successfully refresh our brand, website and conceptualise marketing campaigns that started conversations with market-leading brands.

We now have a system for marketing, creating our own content, and attracting new business with a much clearer proposition, thanks to Nina’s legacy.

Client: The Mood Project, 2019-2020 I  The Mood Project is a global branding consultancy in Spain. Now in it’s 25th year, the founders wanted to get a fresh perspective on their brand strategy. With the team tied up with client projects and a lack of time to look at their own brand strategy to attract new business, I was invited to guide them through the process, starting with a series of discovery workshops to understand what their agency was about and where they wanted to go. The result was co-defining their new creative direction, and planning a new website.

Strategic business development and brand evolution 


An award-winning design agency that creates packaging design for some of the UK's loved and market-leading brands, including Lidl, Daily Cultures, and Koko.

 
I joined the team to develop and implement a new business strategy that would create a sustainable pipeline of business and achieve agency growth, whilst the team were kept busy with client work. 

 

My approach 
I worked closely with the team to gain insights about the brand and business vision through brand discovery workshops. After analysing the teams business goals, I was able to create a brand and new business plan, followed by a communications strategy. This involved developing a website, brand narrative, a content strategy, and a lead generation campaign.


Results
Interviews with leading food and beverage brands. I put in applications for top industry design awards and the agency work won a Fab Design Award (Silver) and a Roses Creative Award (Gold).

Client: VedaLife, 2018 - 2020 I  
Ayurveda uses the power of Indian ancient medicine to help people to live healthier and more balanced lives -preventing and treating specific health conditions. Jessica had been studying and practicing as an Ayurvedic practitioner and wanted to create a brand, website, and marketing strategy to raise awareness of her services in London, capturing case studies and testimonials including an online booking service. With Jess, I co-defined a brand that would enable her to collaborate with yoga centres and convey the meaning of Ayurvedic and it’s beneficial and
life-changing outcomes.

Client: DKMS UK Global Blood Cancer Charity, 2016
DKMS is a global blood cancer charity that specialises in recruiting blood stem cell donors in the UK to save the lives of people with different blood cancers. I worked
client-side as a Marketing Manager to conceptualise complex integrated campaigns, using a combination of email, music festivals, and
UK-wide transport advertising including the London Underground.

Results: Increased young male donors (17-25) on the UK registry by 14%  with a

3-month summer campaign / 100K new people registered within 2 years of UK launch / Awarded EVCOM award for charity campaign video

Amoosi (2010) - A 5-year project funded by The Guardian Unltd* Awards that explored the concept of upcycling textiles to produce seasonal, on-trend clothing and accessories for professional women. The style of the clothing was modern with a vintage twist.

A bit about me

Hi, I'm Nina. I'm passionate about brand strategy and thoughtful design, and its ability to influence change in our communities, environment, the way we consume, and how we live.

 

Drawing on 15 years of experience in brand strategy, communications, marketing, and design, I help business founders to create, launch and evolve brands using a  methodology that I've developed working as a client and within creative agencies.

I have helped start-ups to grow, worked with global charities, and more recently, with creative agencies in Bristol and Barcelona to transform and re-align their brand and business direction.
